Before training as a counsellor, I worked as a sound engineer within the music, entertainment and events industry for over two decades, and am aware of the promises and pitfalls of this sector. This role found me working in high pressured environments where there was very little room for error, and as such I can relate to those who find themselves under the spotlight, with nowhere to hide. Working with actors, musicians, CEOs, politicians and even royalty I learned that as humans, we all harbour the same insecurities and vulnerabilities regardless of class or success. In many ways I have gone from making people louder to helping them find some quiet, whilst still being heard. I have helped musicians, artists, actors, writers, road crew and those in relationships with the afore-mentioned cope with anxiety, depression, addiction and low self-esteem in addition to offering support in other areas.

However, my experience as a counsellor is not solely connected to the performing arts or creative industries, and I have clients from all walks of life.
